Numbers define the wavelength, level,rate and quality of vibration. When your soul decided to incarnate into physical reality in this lifetime, it chose to align itself with particular vibratory frequencies that are determined by the numbers found in the birthdate and the numbers derived from the letters in the birthname. The vibratory frequencies that are chosen by the higher-self best express and equip the physical being with various abilities that are in tune with the soul's purpose and mission and lessons to be learned this lifetime.

By looking at the numbers in our birth dates and the numerical values of the letters in our birth names, we can determine four personal numbers that articulate in great detail our Soul Purpose, Destiny Path, Life Lessons and Personality. I use these numbers and integrate the logical and intuitive aspects of these vibrational frequencies to create personal mandalas that make visible your unique vibrational signature.

We all have signature vibratory patterns, forms and colours, that carry certain qualities that are expressed via the four levels of being. In classic Numerology, the single digit numbers of 1 to 9 represent what are known as root essence vibrations. Most numbers can be "broken-down" to one of these primal frequencies, and it is usually these root essence numbers that I use to determine the forms at each layer of the personal mandala.

The colours can also relate to specific wavelenghts of number/vibration, but I find that as I paint each layer, an intuitive process influences me, and a balance between logic and intuition is achieved. This is a key aim of Sacred Geometry, to create the ability to perceive holistically so that we may expand and deepen our perceptual awareness of vibration.

If you look closely at the personal mandala on the left, you will notice that there are 4 rings or layers that compose the mandala. In this example, the outer layer is defined by the number 4, the next layer by the number 9, the next layer by the number 11 (an exceptional vibration), and the central core of the mandala is defined by the number 5.

There is a logical narrative that determines the location of each vibratory layer of the personal mandala, descibed in the sections below.
1.THE SOUL NUMBER: The sum total of the number values for the VOWELS in your birth name. It forms the central core of your being and therefore forms the centre of your personal mandala. The Soul vibration reveals the REAL you, the self that came to Earth for a reason, to fulfill a particular mission. This vibration is very often only perceived by those that know you very well. This number can remain the same over a number of lifetimes because there may be a particular theme that the Soul is working with that may take many incarnations to complete.
2. THE PATH OF DESTINY NUMBER: The full total of the number values for ALL the letters in your birth name, VOWELS + CONSONANTS. The 2nd layer of your personal mandala is defined by your Path of Destiny number, because the destiny path is the life journey and mission that the soul first outlines for you to experience this lifetime. It tells us what we are here to do, be and achieve. It indicates the opportunities that are made available to us that align with the Soul's purpose. Although it's true to say that we shape our destiny in every moment, before incarnating, we do have a game plan, an idea of things we want to acheive, which this vibration reveals.
3. THE LIFE LESSON NUMBER: The full total of the numbers in your birth date. The 3rd layer of your personal mandala is defined by this number because the Soul has placed certain life lessons and challenges along your path of destiny in order to balance any karmic issues from this life and previous ones, and to facilitate the fullest expression of who you really are. It is significant in making clear your vocational attributes and talents, and it reveals to you the cosmic gift you were born with in order to accomplish your destiny.
4. THE OUTER PERSONALITY NUMBER: The sum total of the number values for the CONSONANTS in your birth name. The Outer Personality number defines the final outer layer of your mandala. This vibration forms the outer shell of the self that we project to others. It describes your PERSONA, the mask you wear that presents the EGO self rather than the SOUL self. The vowel total reflects the inner self, while the consonant total reflects the outer self. It tells us more about what people's expectations of you are; based upon the image you present to them. It reflects positive and negative personality traits.

Whats in a name?The golden rule with Numerology charts is to use the birth-name, in other words, the name that appears on the birth certificate, or an official birth document. The full name, including all middle names and the surname is used. When the chosen name is written down in physical form, it anchors that vibratory coding into form, rather like sounding a bell, or begining your signature tune.

One of the most commonly-asked questions I hear is "How can the name your parents chose reflect the vibrations YOU want to work with?" This is often asked by people who dislike their name, and/or their parents, or never use their birthname. My answer is that the incarnate self, the soul, spirit, or higher self, influences the parents to choose a particular name that carries the frequencies it wants to work with this lifetime. Quite often when a person dislikes a name, it reflects a particularly challenging vibration that the soul has chosen. I have done many charts for people who were initially against me using their birthname, but when the chart was completed, they resonated with it totally, and they gained deep insight to certain challenging aspects of their lives.

At one time, the naming process was known as the sacred ritual that it is. Many cultures regard the naming ceremony as the most important ritual in a person's life. Although in general, the westernised culture may have lost consciousness of the importance of naming, the soul/higher-self hasn't, and whether we or our parents are aware of it or not, the ancient wisdom and spiritual science of vibration is accessed when every child on the planet is named.

HOW TO USE A PERSONAL MANDALA: Place the mandala somewhere where you can look at it in peace and comfort. Spend 20 minutes or so, whenever you feel drawn, to gaze at your mandala. Mandalas are excellent meditational focal tools. They help to empty the mind of its constant chitchat by giving both sides of the brain something to focus on.

The Left-Brain can understand the logic of the forms and colours generated by the frequencies of number, while the Right Brain can appreciate the harmonic beauty of your unique vibrational form.
